This is a clip of me answering a question about making sense of free will alongside the idea that God is sovereign. Hopefully this meandering conglomeration of thoughts about the calvinism and free will debate can help you in some way grasp it!

For some reason, this sounds shocking, but it is the obvious truth and once I explain you will understand and agree with what I’m saying. The simple fact is certain passages in the Bible are not supposed to be taken literally so we should be careful how we interpret them. #biblestudy #hermeneutics #conditionalimmortality #annihilationism

Our definition of pastor is all jumbled up in the modern church. Lets discuss what a pastor is and how it relates to the term bishop and elder (in a way many do not realize). We will talk through modern assumptions about the role of a pastor and get to the actual verses in the Bible on the topic and how it shows the role of a pastor to be a different sort of a thing.

Daniel 9 is the most evidential passage in the whole Bible for proving Christianity true without a shadow of a a doubt. In this video I thoroughly explain the details and show you how to use this evidence to strengthen your faith and to help convince skeptics. Any truth seeker can see that this is true. This video is explained from a partial Preterist understanding making this prophecy not only irrefutable evidence for christianity but also fantastic evidence in support of the legitimacy of partial Preterism. Regardless of your end time views, you will find this study intriguing!#daniel9:24-27#daniel9#christianapologetics#partialpreterism#preterism#70weeksprophecy

We need to examine our doctrine

SELF CORRECTION: As I rewatch this, Innerancy arguably belongs in the orange category, unless all the person means by denying innerancy is that the current manuscripts have errors. If they are denying that the bible is always true in what it teaches and affirms that is a big problem. This denial is the gateway drug to denying any other thing you want to deny.A relationship with Jesus is not all that matters. Christians should strive to have correct doctrine. In this episode I discuss why doctrine matters, why the complaints against doctrinally minded christians are unhelpful and how doctrinal triage can help us evaluate which doctrinal errors should cause division.#pastor #bibleteaching #doctrine #christianpodcast #bible

You need to wade through the doctrinal debates. Here is why. Christians who have not even studied opposing views often have strong dogmatic opinions. They often aren’t even aware they other interpretations exist on the passages that they base their theology on. Christians hold such strong opinions on tithe law, on the gift of tongues, on calvinism, on the modern state of Israel, on women pastors, on the end times, on the rapture, on the antichrist, on the nature of hell. The list goes on and on. As someone who had to change my views on multiple different beliefs, I now recognize that christians who haven’t studied the opposing views have not earned their insistence that they are correct. You are absolutely wrong about something. The sad part is you will never find out if you never study the scriptures deeply.
